CPL/ME/IR 

Practical Course

If you hold a CPL with IR and ME ratings you can, on the appropriate aircraft category:

  1. exercise all the privileges of the holder of a PPL.  
  2. act as pilot in command (PIC) or co-pilot of any aircraft operations other than commercial air transport  
  3. act as PIC in commercial air transport of any single-pilot aircraft, subject to some restrictions 
  4. act as co-pilot in commercial air transport subject to some restrictions.
  5. fly an aeroplane under instrument flight rules with a minimum decision height of 200 feet (60 metres)
  6. fly an aircraft with more than one engine under VFR & IFR

3 - 4 months

  • 15 hrs in-class Multi Engine Theory
  • 61 hrs flight training

Entry Requirements


  • 18 years or older
  • Valid PPL(A) with SEP
  • Night Rating (To avoid the restriction; IFR during daylight only)
  • EASA ATPL theory (we offer ATPL theory)
  • 50 hrs cross country flight time as PIC
  • 200 hours total flight time at time of CPL Skilltest
  • Medical Class 1
